Greetings Friends and Neighbors,
We live in perhaps the most challenging and difficult time in the history of mankind. In spite of our astounding technological advancements, can we truly say we are better off than our forefathers? We have more money, but we own less. We have bigger houses but not homes. We have busier lives but little satisfaction.
Now more than ever, the cornerstone of our society (the family) is under attack from every direction. Movies, music, television, and print media all help to erode family values and replace the bible with a new morality for the 21st century. Despite what the world would have us to believe, God desires for us to have peace and life. The bible says that we can have that peace through Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)
At Greater Commission Ministries, we believe that the bible is the road map not just for life and living but for the ABUNDANT life that we all seek. Jesus told his disciples that the entire law could be summed up like this,
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
